YOGA RETREAT IN LA SIERRA DE MADRID
NOURISH & RENEW 6-8 MARCH 2026
After the darkness of winter, give yourself a gift: a weekend of peace, connection, and renewal. From 6– 8 March 2026, join me at El Huerto de San Antonio, just one hour from Madrid, surrounded by beautiful mountain views and nature.
As winter draws to a close, this retreat offers you a space to pause, reflect, and reset before the energy of spring arrives. Over three days in the mountains, you’ll be guided through nourishing yoga practices, calming breathwork, and time in nature — all designed to help you release what feels stagnant and create space for fresh inspiration.
Picture yourself arriving at El Huerto de San Antonio in La Cabrera, surrounded by mountains and open skies. You are welcomed into a beautiful, bright space where you can breathe deeply, enjoy energising and relaxing practices, and feel completely at ease.
Our Nourish & Renew Yoga Retreat is about rest, reflection, and reconnecting with yourself before spring begins. Perhaps you’ve felt on-the-go without pause, or in need of grounding after a busy start to the year. This retreat is your chance to slow down, savour simple pleasures and reset your rhythm. Over the weekend you’ll be looked after, connect with like-minded people, and return home feeling nourished, renewed and with some new friends.
Through a balance of yoga, breathwork, meditation, delicious food, and quiet time in nature, you’ll be able to rest, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. With space away from daily distractions, you will be able to slow down, breathe deeply and feel calmer.
Life in the city can feel relentless — always busy, always making decisions, rarely pausing. This retreat is a chance to let go of that pressure. You can give yourself permission to just be, to reflect, and to recharge.
You will:
Release winter heaviness and shake off winter blues
Reconnect with yourself and others in a supportive community
Find clarity where you feel stuck with decisions or routines
Feel nourished and cared for with wholesome meals and cosy accommodation - no cooking or washing up!
Return home feeling livelier, more peaceful, and ready to welcome spring with new energy
Our retreat will be held at El Huerto de San Antonio, a beautiful countryside venue just one hour from Madrid. With mountain views, peaceful gardens, and a homely feel, it’s the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Our group is international so classes are in English (I speak Spanish too if that helps) and all are welcome. Yoga classes are for all levels, including absolute beginners :).

Hi I’m Atiya,
Yoga Teacher, Health Coach & Thai Massage Therapist
I’ve been teaching yoga since 2011 and leading retreats since 2013. This year will be our 15th retreat: our fifth in Spain.
Having started my professional life as a commercial lawyer, then school teacher to yoga teacher, nutritionist and naturopath, I have done lots of soul searching around finding one’s purpose and vitality.
My vision for this retreat: This weekend is about creating a warm, supportive space where you can truly let go. This is a down-to-earth, heart-centred retreat where community, nature, and yoga come together. My vision is for you to leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected: both to yourself and to others.
My biggest mission is to support others dealing with stress and overwhelm to build a fun and balanced healthy lifestyle.
I love sharing all elements of yoga on retreats plus the community that grows from them.

Air: The nearest airport is Madrid, then you can take the bus or drive.
FAQS
-
Please complete the booking enquiry form, after which I will reply with next steps.
-
Absolutely! Options are given in classes for different bodies and levels of experience.
-
Please let me know when booking if you are coming with a friend or partner and want to share with them.
If you are coming on your own I will allocate same-sex rooms.
-
Some people come on their own, not knowing anyone and then soon meet others :). Others regularly come to classes in Madrid/previous retreats and know each other. There is always someone new and you are very welcome!
-
Yes! Classes are in English and the group is international. Lots of us speak Spanish too and other languages. You will still be able to follow classes :)
-
Not especially! This retreat is catered for all levels (including absolute beginners to yoga), however to participate in all the activities and walking in your free time you may like to prepare a little beforehand if you currently are not so active.
Please note also that unless you come by car, there is a 30 minute walk up a hill from the bus stop to the venue. Also generally the venue is is hilly as we are in the mountains!
-
There are lots of free time options, as set out above. We don’t plan organised free time trips so you are free to do as you wish, rather than having all your time planned.
Everyone is in the same boat - we’ll be chatting about it at meal times so you can decide what you’d like to do - hike, relax or wander into the village :)
-
We don’t organise transport for people but we will put you in touch with others so you can travel together. If taking the bus, I would recommend asking for your luggage to be taken by someone with a car so you can walk up the slope more easily or get picked up.
-
Please message me if you have a particular medical condition beforehand.
-
Please let me know on booking for pre-existing injuries and on the retreat if it happens while you are there.
We aim to deliver the retreat to the highest standard, however we are not liable for any injuries you may incur and you are responsible for any pre-existing conditions and injuries.
We are not liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions, which may develop during or subsequent to the retreat.
We are also not liable for loss of, or damage to, your personal property.
-
Congratulations :). Please confirm with your doctor that you are fine to attend and please let me know when you book. If you are in your third trimester, however, you may prefer to go to a tailored retreat for pregnant women as we would need to adapt many poses and you may prefer to be closer to home.
-
We will send you a message with the things you need.
We suggest you get your own travel insurance.
-
Sadly we can’t offer massages for this retreat but I will offer you a special retreat rate for those in Madrid who would like to book a Thai massage with me in March.
